On October 5, 2021 Los Angeles time, BYD and levo mobility LLC (hereinafter referred to as levo) jointly announced that they would integrate nuvve holding's "vehicle to power grid" (V2G) technology with BYD's electric vehicle technology. Levo plans to purchase up to 5000 BYD medium and heavy-duty pure Electric Vehicles supporting V2G within five years, including buses, buses, courtyard tractors, trailers, sanitation Trucks, last mile logistics vehicles and school buses.

The plan will provide complete financial services for fleet owners and operators through levo's use of nuvve's V2G technology, stonepeak partners LP (hereinafter referred to as stonepeak) and evolve transition infrastructure LP (hereinafter referred to as evolve). Levo is a joint venture composed of three enterprises, nuvve and V2G technology providers, aiming to reduce the use cost of pure electric fleet; A subsidiary of stonepeak, which aims to provide financial solutions for the purchase of pure electric vehicles; Evolve aims to provide fleet-as-a-service (FAAS) solution to enable the fleet to be electrified quickly. In general, the mission of levo joint venture is to become a "one-stop partner for fleet electrification", intelligently integrate electric vehicles into the power grid and improve the penetration of clean energy.

Up to now, BYD's pure electric buses and taxis have covered six continents, more than 50 countries and regions and more than 300 cities around the world. Among them, BYD has delivered more than 65000 all kinds of pure electric buses in the world. In the United States, BYD has obtained more than 60 high-quality customers, including Los Angeles International Airport, California Long Beach transportation department, California Antelope Valley Transportation Bureau, University of California, Los Angeles, Facebook, etc., accumulated about 1000 bus orders, and has achieved zero emission services of more than 15 million miles.
