On January 22, BYD announced an official price increase of 1000-7000 yuan for its new energy models, which will take effect on February 1. 2022 is the last year of the national subsidy for new energy. At the end of last year, Tesla, Weilai and Xiaopeng successively introduced the price policy for the new year, and the price increase of new energy vehicles has become a fact.

BYD delivered 590000 new energy vehicles in 2021. With blade batteries and DM-I super hybrid system, BYD regained the title of the domestic new energy vehicle market. BYD's goal in 2022 is to sell more than 1 million new energy vehicles. According to Citibank's prediction, BYD's total sales will exceed 1.3 million this year. With the penetration rate of new energy vehicles gradually approaching the 20% mark, BYD will usher in a wave of strong growth period.

BYD's new car plan has also been exposed online recently, including nearly 20 models of Ocean series, warship series and Dynasty Series.
Among them, Dynasty Series will launch a household MPV - Song Max DM-I in the first quarter, with a layout of 6-7 seats; BYD DM-I will also appear at a price of 170000-210000 yuan.
In the ocean series, seals will also be listed in the first quarter, benchmarking Tesla Model 3, which is a pure electric compact car with a price of 150000-200000 yuan; Sea lion aims at Tesla Model y at a price of 200000-250000 yuan. This medium-sized SUV may be equipped with Huawei lidar with a endurance of more than 700 km; Seagull is a low-end product with a price of 60000-80000 yuan.

Warship series, in addition to the car destroyer 05 that has been unveiled, there is also class B car destroyer 07, which is priced at 150000-200000 yuan and listed in the fourth quarter. SUV models include cruiser 05 and cruiser 07, both of which are priced within 200000 yuan. MPV landing ship 07 will target Buick GL8, which will be listed in the third quarter at a price of 200000-300000 yuan.

In addition to these planned new cars, BYD's high-end brand will also be released this year, with a price of more than 500000, which is just opposite to luxury brands such as BBA. After BYD opens the new energy market, the next step is to pursue Tesla.
