In 2021, Tesla sold 936000 vehicles, leading by nearly one million, and won the title of the world's best-selling new energy vehicle enterprise for four consecutive years. BYD sold more than 594000 vehicles and won the second place. SAIC GM Wuling sold 456000 vehicles, ranking third.

According to the data of clean technica, in December 2021, the global sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles was 907606, with a year-on-year increase of 58.8% and a month on month increase of 25.8%. In 2021, the global sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles was 6495388, with a year-on-year increase of 108%, the highest annual growth rate since 2012.

Nissan LEAF sold 9527 vehicles, ranking 13th again. Nezha V, GAC aion s, BYD Qin plus EV, kelaiwei clever, Toyota RAV4 PHEV and other models failed to make the list.

In 2021, Tesla Model 3 sold more than 500000 vehicles, with a month on month increase of 20.2%, reaching the top. Wuling Hongguang miniev sold 424000 vehicles, with a month on month increase of 15.1%, winning the second place. Tesla Model y sold 410000 vehicles, with a month on month increase of 25.8%, ranking third.

GAC aion s sold 71192 vehicles, up 9.9% month on month, down two places, ranking 12th. Nissan LEAF sales reached 64000, up 17.4% month on month, ranking 15th in the list. The sales volume of Xiaopeng P7 exceeded 60000, up 14% month on month, surpassing clavier and ranking 19th.
